Expanding Data Center Acquisition Opportunities in Japan
Data center acquisitions are gaining momentum in Japan, with Singapore REITs, such as Mapletree Industrial Trust and Keppel DC REIT, leading investments in Japanese data centers. Japan’s data center landscape is further diversified by emerging investment vehicles, like private REITs and long-term holding accounts, catering to Japanese institutional investors seeking stable, long-term assets. As Japan’s development pipeline expands, new partnerships and acquisitions are anticipated, especially as players like NTT consider launching a domestic data center REIT to meet the growing demand for digital infrastructure investment.
